Chevrons are a great design motif for a wedding or an event as they give a striking, contemporary look in an array of colours:

Top row, left to right: Let your guests sup a homemade lemonade through these pastel blue chevron straws by Kate’s Party Shop and send them off home with a personalised chevron candle from Not On The High Street.

Bottom row, left to right: Set your theme from the start with these chevron invitations from Not On The High Street and set fun place settings using chevron bags from Peach Blossom.

Here’s the contemporary outdoor aisle with mirrored plinths displaying dramatic white twigs dripping with diamonds:

The stunning dress by State of Grace had the most striking Ice Queen beaded high collar, sheer voluminous sleeves and silouhette.  Teamed with this dramatic veil, the bride was framed on the beautiful balcony of Fetcham Park

Onto the Tempting Table…styling wise we displayed the jelly shot glasses on a scallop edged mirror for maximum reflection:

The fabulous florals were created by Fairynuff Flowers with icy grey touches and matt eucalyptus to add to the Ice Queen effect.  This bouquet was also adorned with jewels by Victoria Millesime for added sparkle.

Now that our Advent blog posts are in full swing and the weather is suitably frosty, it seemed a good time to share the rest of the shoot with you all.  This elegant ice Queen Tempting Table features cupcakes with a buttercream piped snowflake effect in silver cases with silver sugar balls:

Sauternes jelly with edible silver leaf suspended in them for a touch of something extra special and the use of glass and mirrors made the most of the light available:

Almond macarons crunch in the mouth like footsteps on freshly fallen snow:

The cake was dusted with caster sugar at the base of each tier for texture instead of using ribbon, and the topper was a fluid flame of icing:

Paperchase is a great source of alternative Christmas decorations, such as this purple mini Christmas tree (top left),  ideal if space is tight.

Serve up your Christmas pud in style in these fluted edged glass Loire dessert dishes from Divertimenti (top right).

Christmas, Tempting Cake colour style!

This turquoise vase from John Lewis (bottom left) has a hint of a glitter ball about it and would make a striking centrepiece filled with candles, sweets or festive flowers.

Etsy came up trumps with this rich purple milk glass cake stand look-a-like (below centre), which is actually made from wood. Perfect for displaying some of our Tempting Cake coloured cupcakes (below right).

Making fruit shapes is quick and easy with some sharp cookie cutters, and serving them as lollies means they’re great party food.  Choose hard fruit in seasonal colours such as golden pineapple or watermelon:

Turn fruit into art with a fruit Christmas tree, using a polystyrene macaron tower cone covered with foil or cling film with fruit on cocktail sticks pushed into it:

While not in season, strawberries are readily available in supermarkets and if you can get your hands on some large ones and have time to have a bit of a fiddle you can create these cute Father Christmas strawberries:

Silver and shine was the order of the day, including the silver cake stand for the tiered cake and the crystal cut pedestal cake stand in the foreground:

The wedding cake was a 3 tier affair with a deep central tier decorated with piped pearls and rose buds on scalloped detail

Macarons make a popular and elegant addition to a wedding Tempting Table, these were almond flavoured with a vanilla bean filling:

These ‘Just Married’ stick of rock style wrapped sweets worked beautifully with the colour scheme and they were displayed in martini glasses alongside silver dragee hearts
